Diagnosis: shell flask-shaped, resembling H. elegans, but with numerous small regular undulations; compressed, completely organic, transparent, colorless; two minute pores, one at each side, in the base of the neck; aperture usually with a thickened lip.
Dimensions: 68-84 µm
Ecology: among Sphagnum and other mosses.
