Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, not compressed laterally, chitinous, smooth, transparent, colorless, without mineral particles, aperture circular. Cytoplasm colorless.
Dimensions: Shell length 40 μm, shell width 28–30 μm.
Ecology and distribution: Freshwater, Sphagnum mosses, wet green mosses, on the surface of aquatic algae and plants. England, Russia, Germany, Romania.
