
Cryptodifflugia paludosa Golemansky, 1981
Diagnosis: Shell elongated-ovate, slightly narrowed at aperture and rounded in posterior part. Transverse section oval. The aperture somewhat oval, sometimes almost circular. Shell chitinous and transparent, often with siliceous xenosomes around an aperture.
Dimensions: Shell length 32–45 μm, shell width 20–32 μm, shell depth 14–18, aperture size 10–15 x 8–13 μm.
Ecology and distribution: Sandy littoral, coarse sand (0.31–1.0 mm), salinity of groundwater varying from 0.69‰ to 16.26‰, maximum depth of record in sand—120 cm. Black Sea.
