Cyclopyxis bathystoma Chibisova, 1967

Diagnosis: Test relatively large, high (considerably larger than the hemisphere, covered with a large number of closely pressed to each other mineral plates of different shapes and sizes. Pseudostome round, with a flat edge. The described form differs from all known species of the genus Cyclopyxis by the presence of a very deep pseudostomal funnel, the walls of which are almost parallel to each other.

Dimensions: Diameter of test 150 µm; height of test 105 µm; diameter of aperture 50 µm; pseudostomal funnel 30 µm.

Ecology: Cave at Anukva, Autonomous Republic of Abkazia, Georgia
