Cyclopyxis thomasi Stepanek, 1963

Diagnosis: The test is similar to the test of Cyclopyxis kahli, but it is slightly lower. The aperture with the smooth edge is invaginated quite deeply. The dorsal side has a massive hollow horn, similar to specimens of the genus Difflugia. When viewed from the side, it is triangular with a broad base. The test is grey-brown, covered with mineral fragments.

Dimensions: Diameter 80 µm, height 52 μm, diameter of the test at the a[erture 56 μm, aperture 22 μm, length of the horn 14 μm.

Ecology: Freshwater, Lake Vranov, Czech Republic.
