Difflugia muriculata  Gauthier-Lièvre et Thomas, 1958

Diagnosis: Test elongated, sub-cylindrical, with irregular contour due to the presence of many large bulges on its surface, most pronounced around the fundus. Pseudostome with 3-4 neat lobes, rounded or more rarely angular, surrounded by a very short collar ornamented with minute mineral grains. Test very transparent, embedded with small regular mineral elements that are most probably reworked.

Dimensions: Length 100-130 µm; width 80-110 µm; pseudostome 20-33 µm.

Ecology: Freshwater, Africa
