Diagnosis: Shell elongate ovoid; narrows from the middle towards the pseudostome and to the fundus. Pseudostome three-bladed; blades less pronounced than those of D. gramen, smaller, and pseudostome more open.
Dimensions: Length 50-85 µm, width 36-69 µm, diameter pseudostome 18-30 µm.
Ecology: Freshwater.
