Difflugia sphincta Jung, 1942
Diagnosis: Test densely covered with mineral particles and with clear neck. Between body and neck, there is a ring of thicker particles.
Dimensions: Length 175 µm; width 145 µm; pseudostome 50 µm (n=1)
Ecology: Freshwater. South-America.
Remarks: According to Gauthier-Lièvre et Thomas, 1958, this species is quite close to D. lobostoma var. multilobata; it can be distinguished easily by the presence of the high and lobed collar.
