Genus Diplochlamys Greeff, 1888

Diagnosis: Test small, round, greyish-yellow, bilayered; inner hyaline sac enclosing the cell with flexible aperture, outer layer consists of loosely arranged debris. Size 40-60 µm. Pseudopodia clear, 10-20 µm, long, tapered, nearly pointed. Endoplasm granular, one vesicular nucleus.

Ecology: herbivorous, mosses on trees, soil.
