Raphidiophrys elegans

Genus Raphidiophrys Archer, 1867, emend. Zlatogursky, 2012

Diagnosis: Centroheliozoa with one type of flattened, tangential siliceous scales surrounded by a broad hollow marginal rim. Scales consisting of upper and lower plates connected by internal radial septa. Spindle-shaped spicules may occur. May form clusters of cells

Type species: Raphidiophrys viridis Archer, 1867
