Diagnosis: test yellowish or clear, pyroid and tapering toward pseudostome; fundus with large spine, covered with scales; shell round in cross-section, covered with circular or broad-elliptical or somewhat irregular, overlapping scales; pseudostome circular, sometimes with a short collar; nucleus ovular.
