Parmulina obtecta (Gruber, 1883) Penard, 1902

Diagnosis: Test in lateral view cup-shaped, hemispherical, in oral view circular; pseudostome large, but can be closed. Test yellowish, opaque, flexible, with a thin layer of debris. Pseudopods rare, bluntly lobate. One vesicular nucleus, with one large or several small nucleoli.

Dimensions: about 30 µm

Ecology: Gruber found this species in a marine aquarium; Penard found his specimens in fresh water.
