Protocucurbitella coroniformis var. tuberculata Dioni 1971
= Netzelia corona

Diagnosis: Dioni (1971): “The individuals assigned to this variety are more smaller than those of the previous forms. The structure of the test is in all similar to the one of D. tuberculata, as much by the uniform structure as by the materials used in the construction. Even in very small specimens the shape of the aperture is projected independently of the rest of the test, simulating the collar of D. tuberculata. Some of these specimens may lack horns or spines, as is not uncommon in the rest of the varieties. The distinction is always clear in apical view.”

Dimensions: Height 80-120 µm.
