Pseudodifflugia compressa Penard, 1902

Diagnosis: shell chitinoid, broad elliptical, strongly compressed, covered with minute particles; aperture relatively small, irregular; nucleus very large, granular; filopodia long and straight, branching, sometimes anastomosing.

Dimensions: My measurements: c. 56 µm long.

Ecology: Sphagnum, Haaksbergerveen.

Remarks: This species is probably a Plagiophrys species.
