Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, rigid, in diameter circular, organic and densely agglutinated with small mineral particles; aperture small, irregular shaped; nucleus hard to detect, because of the dense covering with xenosomes. Filopodia long, branching and anastomosing, with small veils or broad veil around the aperture.
Dimensions: Length c. 35µm, breadth c. µm, aperture c. 4 µm.
Ecology: shallow freshwater pond, Crailoo, The Netherlands.
