Saccamoeba lucens Frenzel, 1892, sensu Bovee, 1972

Diagnosis: Locomotive form broad; smooth or finely papillate bulbous uroid; usually fewer than 20 crystals, 5-15 µm, often appearing cuboidal or plate-like.

Dimensions: 70-100 µm; nucleus 6-7 µm.

Ecology: freshwater, several water types.
