Saccamoeba? spec.
Diagnosis: normal locomotion monopodial, 60-100 µm long, with broad anterior part without any hyaline zone; uroid broadly rounded with radiating filaments; crystals not observed; about 5-10 vesicular nuclei, with relatively large nucleolus. Anterior hyaline cap finely granulated, but only present when changing direction.
Ecology: in sediment of an almost dried pool along the shore of a dune lake and in an oligotrophic heath pool, both in the Netherlands.
Remarks: This amoeba resembles a Saccamoeba, but it is multinucleated and new to science.
