View of the 2018 sampling location (small pond) where Leptogromia operculata was found.
Schiermonnikoog
This island between the North Sea and the Waddensea is largely a nature reserve. It is partly fled by the sea and therefore the water is brackish. I collected material in 2011 and 2018 at two different sites, indicated below on the map.
Map of Schiermonnikoog with the two sampling locations (red dots). At right the 2018 location and in the centre the location where I found in 2011 for the first time Leptogromia operculata.
The arrow indicates the 2018 location.
