Diagnosis: Test small, hyaline or slightly yellowish, ovoid, not compressed, covered with irregular, mostly large siliceous plates. Pseudostome circular or slightly irregular. Nucleus relatively large with central nucleolus. Cytoplasm homogeneous, not layered. Pseudopodia not observed.
Dimensions: Length 15 – 21 µm; width 13.2 – 17.5 µm, pseudostome 8.1 – 9.3 µm (n=4), nucleus 9.0 – 9.5 (n=2).
Ecology: Not numerous in humus of beech forests. Europe.
